New members wishing to join the SAFTC can complete the membership application form and return it to the secretary@saftc.co.za Whereby the it will be forwarded to the committee for approval, this process takes 7 working days. The secretary will contact you with an outcome to your application.
Upon acceptance the joining and membership fee will need to be paid, you will be added to communication system and given a Welcome Pack.

You will receive in your Welcome Pack, Field trialing in South Africa – A complete guide to field trials for pointers and setters by E.P. Martin, The judging of field trial dogs by H. W. Ardler and The South African field trial clubs constitution including its regulations for the conducting of field trials and the rules and guides for the judging of field trials.
Access by prior arrangement (email Robby – robby.zorrer@mweb.co.za) to the club Patron’s, Alistair McLean’s, many farms, in the Settlers area on the Springbok Flats. The ground may be used for members training sessions over weekends, mock trials, surveys, field trials, judging workshops etc. Accommodation is available for overnight stays at a rate of R50,00. This gives existing and new members excellent training opportunities on some of the best bird terrain in South Africa.
On occasions the club organizes wing shooting opportunities for our members. These are great times to get out with our dogs and friends on some of South Africans top wing shooting venues.
Dog Training tips and one on one mentorship from some of the clubs top field trialers and field trial judges. This will include the following:

Social events for members to get together.
Annual field trialing events. Our classical field trials are held every year since 1908. The club has an accumulation of venues that can be used for field trials. The venues are surveyed each year in order to ascertain the best grounds for that years field trials according to cover and game bird population.

Existing members are expected to pay their annual subscription at the beginning of each year. Payments can be paid via EFT, please send the proof of payment to the secretary@saftc.co.za
Full membership of the SAFTC only costs R300.00 per year per person.
Affiliated membership costs R 200.00 per year per person.
